Postpartum doula care for a softer fourth trimester

Serving the New York City area

Happy you’re here

Hi, I'm Zoë—a postpartum doula honored to serve and nourish families during the sacred, complex days after birth. The postpartum period is a threshold. It is a time deserving of reverence, tenderness, care, and compassion. It is a moment of transformation.

It’s this kind of transformation that inspires all of my work. I’m also an artist and writer, drawn to the liminal spaces of life: infancy, the shaping of identity, the shadowed cycles of becoming.

Drawing on 15+ years of experience working with families, I’m now completing my postpartum doula certification with DONA International. I offer grounded, evidence-based care alongside a steady and intuitive presence. My goal is to make the early days of parenthood feel a little smoother, so you can sink into the mystery of new life and find your rhythm as it unfolds.

Credentials

I’m dedicated to ongoing study in infant development, safe sleep, lactation and bottle feeding, perinatal mental health, and queer family building.

My intention is to stay informed on the safest, most current infant care practices and to be thoughtful in how I show up for the emotional, physical, and practical needs of new parents. I also strive to honor the many cultural traditions and ways of nurturing babies around the world. There is no single way to raise a child. My support is shaped by the needs of each family, with the aim of nurturing what feels right, safe, and meaningful for them.

Testimonials

  • “Zoë has the most incredible presence — she is attentive, empathetic, kind and curious. She radiates warmth and is deeply attuned to the needs of others. Zoë was one of the few people I trusted fully to take care of my newborn son, and she showed up so well for me when I had an intense recurrence of my postpartum anxiety.”

    Ellie

  • “Zoë is a natural with newborns. Zoë entered our family’s life as a calm, reliable, and consistent presence when I was an overwhelmed and sleep deprived new mother. She is open-minded, intelligent, creative, adaptable, and a pleasure to be around. We consider Zoë’s bond with our baby precious, and we can’t imagine the postpartum period without her!”

    Laura and Sam

  • “Zoë has been nothing short of amazing! She is kind, thoughtful, and caring, and from the start she had an instant connection with our son. It’s been such a help (and a relief!) knowing he’s in great hands every time he is with her.”

Fun facts

  • I love all animals, especially cats! I share my home with four wonderful feline friends who keep my life lively and full of joy.

  • Being from New Orleans, cooking is a large part of my culture and heart. I cook to nourish both body and soul, and always delight in trying new recipes. It’s one of my favorite ways to share love with those I care about.

  • Currently pursuing my master’s in Biography and Memoir at The CUNY Graduate Center, I am interested in exploring the interplays between memory, identity, performance, and the body. I was honored to receive a Leon Levy Fellowship for the 2025–2026 academic year, a recognition that strengthens and supports my creative and intellectual work.

  • Research shows that people of color and Indigenous birthing people in the U.S. face significantly higher rates of pregnancy-related deaths and postpartum complications compared to white people. These disparities reflect longstanding racial inequities in healthcare. I know meaningful change requires more than awareness, which is why I donate a portion of my income to mutual aid efforts like SisterSong’s Birth Justice Care Fund and use my voice to speak out against injustice. I’m committed to ongoing education on the structural forces that shape birth outcomes—and to understanding how doulas can more effectively support equitable, affirming care across communities.
